Caleb's Thesis

Chronic homelessness in America can be greatly reduced by recognizing what chronic homelessness really is, recognizing current systems that are failing and why, and utilizing systems such as Housing First, which have already proved to have succeeded.

 Vanessa Coakley

14 Years in Classical Conversatoins

Meet Vanessa

Vanessa has been part of the Classical Conversations community for fourteen years, beginning at the age of four. Throughout her education, she has developed strong skills in creative expression, critical thinking, and leadership, with a particular appreciation for the arts.

Outside of her studies, Vanessa enjoys spending time with friends and being in nature, finding value in meaningful relationships and shared experiences. Known for being artistic, creative, and compassionate, she seeks to approach both her work and her relationships with intentionality and care.

Vanessa is actively involved in her church, where she leads the photography team at the Estate location and regularly leads Bible studies with her peers. Through these roles, she has developed a heart for leadership and a desire to invest in others. She has also demonstrated an entrepreneurial mindset, earning the “Highest Business Potential” award at the 2020 Children’s Business Fair, among more than 200 participants.

Following graduation, Vanessa plans to continue growing her business, Vistella Studios, while pursuing opportunities to expand her skills and explore new places. She hopes to use her work to connect with others and reflect her faith, striving to be a light in every environment she enters.

Vanessa is deeply grateful for the constant love and support of her family and friends, who have played a significant role in shaping her life. She has received multiple “Best in Class” awards for her artwork and enjoys embracing new experiences, including skydiving. Wherever her path leads, she hopes to continue growing, serving others, and honoring God in all that she does.

Vanessa's Thesis

Photography has become more accessible than ever, but this accessibility has blurred the line between casual image making and intentional art. True photography is shaped by vision, composition, and careful choices, and it remains a disciplined craft that communicates emotion, tells a story, and preserves cultural significance.

Eliana McGuire

8 Years in Classical Conversatoins

Meet Eliana

Eliana R. McGuire has been part of the Classical Conversations community for almost eight years, during which she honed her skills in literature, debate, and research. Through the practice provided by the program, she has developed the ability not only to debate and defend her beliefs, but also to think critically and consider all sides of a matter. Outside of Classical Conversations, Eliana carries a deep passion for the arts: music, painting, writing, drawing, and photography, and enjoys crafting and creating in her spare time. She also enjoys driving, flying, traveling, and studying her own interests, such as meteorology and psychology. Beginning around 2020, she joined the Civil Air Patrol (US Air Force Auxiliary), where she developed a strong sense of discipline and order. Taking part in activities such as intense drill tests and inspections, honoring veterans, aiding local work, boot camp, and eventually, basic flight training. From that basic flight training, she spent roughly 4 years studying before passing her FAA written exam, gaining access to time in the air, which is ongoing. Following graduation, Eliana plans to further pursue her aviation career. With her Christian upbringing and relationship with God, she hopes to share her knowledge and plant seeds in others' lives, bringing her faith wherever she may go, land or sky. Eliana is deeply grateful for the unending love, support, and encouragement from her parents, brother, and friends. She takes every memory to her heart and hopes to carry those moments from childhood forever.

Eliana's Thesis

Music positively affects human psychology by improving mood, reducing stress and anxiety, strengthening emotional well-being, and stimulating creativity and cognitive function.
